The exhibition Tabula Non Rasa at the Basque Country Architecture Institute (EAI) in San Sebastián shows works by Lacaton Vassal, agps architecture, and the MAS Urban Design at ETH Zurich. The contribution by the MAS, Inclusive Urbanism, Building for the Unestablishment, proposes a building practice that fosters varied, accessible neighbourhoods recognizing today’s more diverse society. The research presented in the first part of the exhibition lays a foundation for the project ideas that make up the second part of the exhibition. The nineteen ideas depicted are distilled from projects that develop types that react to the specifics of the location, in this case sites in Germany, but are prototypical enough to serve as a blueprint for other neighbourhoods.
