Christoph Schindler (Erlangen 1973) is currently a PhD
-Student at the Chair of CAAD and worked as an assistant between 2001 and 2007. He studied architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern. During and after his studies, he practiced architecture in Germany, USA and the Netherlands. He co-founds in 2005 schindlersalmerón architecture + product design and in 2007 designtoproduction, a consultancy for digital production of complex design. He has lectured throughout the world and was guest teacher for the realization of 1:1 student projects at several universities. He is member of ACADIA, SAH, SIA and REG A. leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer | | Schindler regards architecture as a result of technical history and technical history not as a momentary state-of-the-art, but as a continuous development. He developed a three-wave scheme of technological development, defined as hand-tool-technolgy, machine-tool-technology, and information-tool-technology. In his PhD
