WINTERTHUR The issue of habitation seems to play a role of no great importance in contemporary architectural discourse. This is the case at a time in which significant changes can be observed in the way we live and dwell. These projects aim to study and to project possible solutions to the complex of problems surrounding the meaning of the city and of the culture of dwelling today. The city of Winterthur, a mid-size Swiss industrial city, was taken as a case-study. The zones, interstices and fragments chosen from the city to be analyzed acquire an entirely new meaning and may be considered exemplary of the contemporary European city.
