Dear Visitor!

Welcome at space.arch.ethz.ch, winner of a prestigious golden bunny 1998 in the category "Website: content management und data architecture".

This site contains various websites of courses and seminars which the independent professorship for Architecture and CAAD at ETH Zürich has held during the last couple of years.

Most of them were prepared for the elective CAAD course. In this course the computer is not just a production tool, but also a communication medium: Besides teaching the principles of various modeling and visualisation techniques, testing new models of computer supported collaborative design is a primary goal. The web-interfaces of the database environments, developed for these courses enable a direct and intense exchange of ideas and expertise among the participants.

More than fivehundred students have taken these courses over the last two years. All of their works are accessible - you are most welcome to have a look at them, now.

Please take note that you will need a browser capable of displaying frames. Futhermore, a high screen resolution is advantageous. As the sites contain numerous images, sufficient bandwidth is quite crucial. You will have to be patient if you access these pages with a modem connection. To be able to see the many VRML models, make sure you have the proper Plugin installed on your computer.

On this page, for every course-site you find a short summary that will help you find your way around in them. Just click on one of the courses listed here to access it. From the summary you get direct access to the course-interface.

We wish you a nice stay and welcome any feedback to caad_teach@arch.ethz.ch
