Ernst Gisel (1922–2021) was an outstanding personality of Swiss architecture who has inspired architectural discourse far beyond Switzerland. In international design and construction activities, his architecture demonstrates a comprehensive approach to the respective problem, sensitivity and a high plastic force. The revised, supplemented and updated new edition of his monograph also presents aspects such as interior design and painting in depth, which were only touched upon in the first edition.
