Jacques Schader became international renowned due to his main work, the Kantonsschule Freudenberg in Zurich. His buildings and projects, the most important of which are examined in detail, exemplarily reflect central design parameters of post-war modernism: grid and module, transparency and permeation. In addition to his work as an independent architect, Schader was editor of the magazine Bauen + Wohnen, and later taught as professor for architectural design and construction at ETH Zurich.
The publication introduces Jacques Schader for the first time in all facets of his professional commitment and his entire oeuvre.
