The publication documents the comprehensive renewal and extension of this unique cultural building, carried out by the working group Silvio Schmed and Arthur Rüegg. Respectful renovation measures and cautious interventions in the historical stock made it possible to adapt to current needs in an exemplary manner. Individual contributions are devoted to the development of the building complex, the demands for use of the three-section building and the construction and preservation activities carried out. The photographs by the renowned architectural photographer Georg Aerni convey impressions of the construction work and present the building in its new appearance.
