The alien, a category that is inevitably an accomplice of exclusion and appropriation, points towards a different reality beyond the traditional, fixed principles that seem to define our world. Existing cartographies can be reinterpreted. A new space of action is waiting to be claimed. This issue moves away from the perception of ‘aliens’ towards instrumentalized alienation.
