Die im Rahmen des Lehrstuhls CAAD operierende Plattform "Blech" beschäftigt sich mit Erforschung und Anwendung zukunftorientierter Planungs- und Produktionstechnologien in der architektonischen Praxis. Der Schwerpunkt liegt im experimentellen Einsatz digitaler Werkzeuge und Informationstechnologien sowie beim computergestützten Entwurf und seiner nahtlosen Umsetzung mithilfe von modernen CNC Produktionstechniken.
