| Innerhalb von drei Wochen im Rahmen des Nachdiplomstudiumkurses haben wir eine Konstruktion entworfen, programmiert und mit Laserschneidemaschine und Abkantpresse selbst gebaut. Das Hauptinteresse galt dabei dem CAAM – dem letzten Schritt eines computerorientierten Entwurfs- und Produktionsansatzes für den Architekturbereich. Eine Konstruktionszeichnung wird in ein Datenformat umgewandelt, das von Maschinen gelesen werden kann. Die Datei kann genau wie bei einem Drucker über Datentransfer an eine Maschine übertragen werden und in verschiedenen Materialien "ausgedruckt" werden. | | Within three weeks of the post-graduate course we have designed, programmed and built a construction, using a laser-cutting-bending device. The focus of our work was the so-called CAAM – the last step of the computer aided design and manufacturing process applied to architecture. The traditional design drawing is turned into a digital-data-format, which can be read by machines. Analogous to the printing process, the data can be transferred directly to the machine and “printed” in diverse materials. |
