Toni Kotnik Module 1: Scripting|Assignment 1
analysis of pattern

Example 1: steam of geranium

The steam is constructed out of bundles of differentiated and specialised cells that get arranged into a strong but flexible structure by the radial and concentric layout and the close-packed integration of the four different types of cells.

Example 2: green cauliflower

A recursive process produces a cell-like spiralling growth pattern that gets repeated in every scale of the cauliflower.

Example2mod.jpg

Main Example: permutation pattern

An alphabet of four different characters can be build up by using a quarter of a circle as basic element. Out of this alphabet a total of 24 different four-letter-words without repetition can be produced and arranged on a 6x4-grid.
