CAAD Design
The use of “object oriented programming” within a project initiates a much more
systematic way of thinking to architectural design. Design problems are redefined
using CAD software, the design solution is then a product of the initial data and the
chosen design parameters. The use of this type of computer aided design initiates the
field of computer generated architecture and can result in very simple, elegant, or
radical structures. The course teaches the basic principles and concepts of object
oriented programming. The course focuses on the systematic method of programming
rather than on learning a specific programming language. Different programming
structures are demonstrated, and practical applications within an architectural context
are undertaken.
