The paravent is based on a simple system of plunging of a basic module. This allows for combining the module differently resulting in several variations of possible paravents. The module itself is construcuted out of a cross-shaped union of two trapezoidal steel plates. Because of this connection the module is very stabile in tttttttttttt | | itself. The distribution of slots along the edge of the plates enables the joining of the modules with many variations. The slits in the plates and the geometry of the module produce different degrees of openess and a varied game of light through the paravent. |

Rexplorer is a permanent pervasive game service launching in the best preserved medieval city in Germany, Regensburg, in June 2007. The players are equipped with a geo-positioning, intelligent measuring apparatus, allowing them to interact with historical and mythical Regensburg GameControllerGameControllerGameControlle | | characters residing inside landmark buildings with the proper apparatus gesture. Thus, the apparatus serves as the game's controller. It is made out of a hard shell encasing a Nokia N70 smart phone and a GPS Bluetooth device. [6-Designing a pervasive game controller] |

I was interested in working with a dart principle, where two parts of fabric are brought together to make a third dimensional movement in the fabric. I was also interested in a plant reference, so I started. After alot of trimming of ideas and simplification, I came up with this very simple form. The next problem was how to attach the elements together. I shoose a very simple solution that would also allow for several ways of assembly.tttttttttttt | | This design in the end is true to the original material I worked with, paper. The steel was pushed as its limits of acting like paper and the assembly needed alot of work. |
