I was also interested in a plant reference, so I started. second step I then wanted to add the idea of adding layers to the paravent by folding pieces in front of each other. The result was one large piece of metal, folded and formed. This design was consired to complicated. In the meantime I discovered the hosta leaf. I found its architecture very interesting. hosta After alot of trimming of ideas and simplification, I came up with this very simple form. The next problem was how to attach the elements together. I shoose a very simple solution that would also allow for several ways of assembly. This design in the end is true to the original material I worked with, paper. The steel was pushed as its limits of acting like paper and the assembly needed alot of work. hosta details
