The exhibition displays works of the students who participated in the seminar week in fall 2017, »Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn. Post-Soviet Urban Planning and Developments in the Baltic States.« The students were asked to document their observations through photography, focusing on the urban and architectural legacies of the Soviet past, and their current transformation and developments. While we perceive »The Baltic States« as a single entity, they show remarkable differences in architecture, urban design, and planning approaches. Therefore, through this exhibition, we aim to make their distinctive characteristics evident in a poetic juxtaposition of photographs.
