To access the node system (with the player, see below), you first have to declare whether you do so as a guest or as a registered fake.space user. As a guest you can visit all the nodes, but you cannot add or change any of them yourself. When surfing as a user, the system offers many possibilities to add your own content to fake.space. You can add to any existing nodes and update or change your own nodes at any time and the system maintains personalised info about your fake.space activities. If you want to learn more about these possibilities or if you want to become an author yourself, here's more information... If you are a guest you should study this page. It explains the functions in the bottom frame, the primary control instrument for accessing the various parts of this course site. It should then be easy for you to surf through fake.space. With these buttons, the frame lay-out can be adjusted to the prefered way of viewing. The last two bring up the horizontal frame that contains the online ID array: short statements about space from all fake.space authors, displayed in their preferred colors. |

The menu, the main administrative navigation tool of the site: Information about the course, the students, the software used (tutorials), related links, possibilities to change the password and to upload finished works are available. |

The textbased map of all the nodes in the site, represented by their short titles, sorted by node-type. The top section shows the 25 newest nodes and is updated automatically every 100 seconds. Thus new nodes can be reacted to instantly. |

sky is the graphic representation of the growth of the nodesystem. It is a clickable map that can be zoomed into and used to navigate through the site. |

Open, respectively close the mini Player window, which displays previews of random threads in autotravel mode. |

Open the large respectively the extra large Player mode to browse through the node system. This is the primary way to view fake.space. For bandwidth considerations, you should normally use the Large mode. Extra large is for presentation in-house. |

this help window, respectively change from large image viewing mode (the default) to extra large image viewing (the bandwidth unfriendly version used for presentations in-house) and vice versa |
