Jennifer Bartmess has been active in the field of language since her bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Georgia, where she focused on Arabic and dialectology. She later directed her attention to geography, earning a master’s degree from the University of Colorado and a doctorate from the University of Zurich. She then specialized in academic editing and joined the gta Verlag as English editor and project manager in 2019. As a freelance editor, Jennifer Bartmess also translates from German to English, teaches advanced English, and offers writing support and coaching.
