Kai Rüdenauer graduated his architectural studies at the Department of Architecture of the University of Karlsruhe in 2001.
When studing architecture he worked parallel in several offices and made his first academic practice at the Institut of Baugestaltung, Baukonstruktion und Entwerfen II, Prof. Rüdiger Kramm. After he finished the architectural diploma with his design for a city hybrid in the center of Karlsruhe (Prof. Kramm, Prof. Lederer) Kai got an employment in the office Kramm & Strigl, Darmstadt.
After his diploma Kai was recommended for a foreign exchange scholarship from the Ruth und Erich Rossmann Stiftung, Karlsruhe. In 2002 he moved to Switzerland to extended his practice experience by Binder Architektur AG, Winterthur and to take part at the postgraduate study course at the Chair of Ludger Hovestadt.
Throughout the postgraduate studies at ETH he expand his proficiencies in computer based architectural design and automatic production technologies. The whole course leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer | | finished their studies with the international awarded ESG pavilion.
In winter 2003 Kai joined the CAAD chair. He participated in the Building IP research group and was responsible for the design and programming of the remote control interface for Gottfried Semper's Villa Garbald, Castasegna. In the MAS CAAD 2004/05 Kai had the supervision on the postgraduate modul in vectorscript and actionscript. In the undergraduated study he teached with Pia Fricker and Christoph Schindler the second year course in programming vectorscript and parametrical design. In late 2005 he collaborates with the chairs art historians the replay seminar bild-o-mat and teached the students to implement their individual flash based image browser for the easy db system.
He’s main focus is on agent based design, for this he started to extend his skills in java. Results will be published soon. |
