SEMINAR WEEK HS15

Rom Under the Magnifying Glass

Urban Sketching

Colin Rowe's book, “Collage City” interprets Rome as an organically grown alternative to the urbanism of social engineering and total design, and serves as a starting position for our seminar.  We will use drawing and performative methods to experience and reinterpret spaces and milieus of the everlasting city. We will assemble and discuss the impressions and experiences collected in smaller groups in Karin Sander's atelier in the Villa Massimo. This seminar week is offered jointly with the Chair for Architecture and Art, Prof. Karin Sander.
