On the occasion of the opening of the ETH Studio Basels spring semester and the start of the re- search project ‚Rome - Adriatic‘, professor Luigi Snozzi will present a lecture exploring a relationship between architecture, urbanism and contemporary European territories.
The lecture will be followed by an apéro and the projection of ‚La Notte‘, by M. Antonioni.
Luigi Snozzi is one of the most influential architects, city planners and teachers in Ticino, Switzerland. Born in 1932 in Mendrisio, Swizerland, he studied with Livio Vacchini and Aurelio Galfetti at the ETH Zuürich, and started his architectural practice in the late 1950s in Locarno. One of his most aclaimed works is the long term urban redevelopment of the historical town Monte Carasso near Bellinzona, Ticino.
