ACHTUNG: DIE LANDSCHAFT KANN MAN DIE STADT ANDERS DENKEN? EIN ERSTER VERSUCH.
JUST RELEASED

If traditionally architects and planners have looked at the city through
housing, infrastructure, and significant buildings — what in other
words could be called its “ built fabric ” — achtung: die Landschaft is
a call to shift the focus towards the un-built territory. Here, “ un-built
territory ” is understood as being both the untouched natural
environment and the human-made landscape. Rather than seeing
the surroundings of villages and cites merely as a blank canvas
for further urbanization, this un-built territory and its limits become
the crucial space where alternative strategies could be developed
to remedy the conditions of the Swiss agglomeration.
