CAAD visits Ubicomp'05 in Tokyo
Step by step - ubiquitous computing is becoming reality. And there is a growing need for a larger community to deal with its aspects. With background in architecture and serious game Design, CAAD members Steffen P. Walz and Odilo Schoch attended this year’s world conference on ubiquitous computing in Tokyo, Japan. Attracted by 625 persons from all over the world, an amazing potpourri of disciplines, languages, projects and visions came together. Especially the fast-growing Asian region with its affinity on modern and small technology allowed interesting discussions, contacts and standpoints.
As concerns technological development, it’s been obvious, that a lot research is about to enter real market. Therefore the link to integrators such as serious game designers and architects was of great importance – and very good for us.
