GLOBAL SCHINDLER AWARD 2015 SHENZHEN ESSAYS / PROJECTS

As a companion to the Global Schindler Award 2015 that was curated by the Chair of Prof. Kees Christiaanse, the essays and projects in this book present possible strategies and design approaches to the challenge of rapid urbanization and the related spatial, infrastructural, social and economic consequences.

Part A contains essays by Philipp Rode, Alexander Erath, Darryl Chen, Eirini Kasioumi, Ting Chen, Linda Vlassenrood, Kazys Varnelis, and an interview with Jiang Feng. Part B presents the twelve winning entries of the Global Schindler Award 2015. The competition site is located in Shenzhen, China.

The book was edited by Kees Christiaanse, Fabienne Hoelzel, Myriam Perret, Dimitri Kron (ETH Zürich); Jessica Bridger; Silvio Napoli, Andrea Murer, Neil Runcieman (Schindler Group), and launched on April 30th in Shenzhen, China, as part of the Global Schindler Award Ceremony 2015.
