testing the machine

The first excersize was designed to understand the two applications needed to mill. First we create a surface structure using maya application. If one wants to mill simply vectorized lines, a dwg drawing will be enough and the maya step is not necessary. The second step is to import this igs extension file into the program that runs the milling machine (fraser) surfcam. In surfcam, we control the ways and paths of the fraser. In this step we can create a multitude of textures and results. (see sample images)

In my example, I choose a very simple structure in maya, and then made a series of places on this "landscape" to exercise different textures through by the surfcam process.
