Philipp Dohmen graduated his architectural studies at the Department of Architecture of the Applied University of Cologne in 01-2001.
When studing architecture he worked parallel in several offices like architecture office Döhmen in Mönchengladbach from 06-08.1998, architecture office Becher+Rottkamp in Berlin from 08.1998-10.1998, architecture office RKW in Düsseldorf from 06.1998-10.1998. After finishing the architectural diploma he got employment in the office Koerber, Hager and Hage in Cologne.
In 2001 he took part at the first postgraduate study course at the Chair of Ludger Hovestadt.
Throughout the postgraduate studies at ETH he expand his proficiencies in computer based architectural design and automatic production technologies. The course finished leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer | | their studies with the first digital designd and produced pavilion.
In 2002 Philipp worked for architecture office Stürm+Wolf; Zürich. In 2003 he started a architecture office with a companion. dohmen.schlüter architekturen in Cologne. In 2004 the both founder started a building promoter office, dohmen.schlüter bauen gmbh, to conduct complete projects. Along the way he was in collaboration with the Chair of CAAD. Since 2006 the office in Cologne operates under the name of architekturen.net (www.architekturen.net) In 2006 he had a university teaching position an the university of Düsseldorf, Germany for construction design in architecure. Since 2006 he also joined the CAAD chair for the Monte Rosa project. For then he mostly accomplished research projects. |
