The 15th annual International Conference on Information Technology in Landscape Architecture: Digital Landscape Architecture DLA 2014 will be held in Zurich, Switzerland, 21 May – 23 May, 2014. We would like to invite you to contribute to this conference on GeoDesign case studies, approaches and teaching of new technologies in landscape architecture and planning. Please submit “Extended Abstracts” (minimum one page, maximum two pages text including key references and optional additional selected graphics) as pdf file online via a web-based submission system at: http://dla.loel.hs-anhalt.de/dla2014/  by October 15, 2013 for review and possible inclusion in the program as presentation or as poster. Abstracts must be formatted using the template available to download here.
The conference proceedings are published as fully reviewed papers by Wichmann Verlag, Heidelberg as following: “Girot/Grêt-Regamey/Wissen Hayek/Fricker/Buhmann (Eds.): Peer Reviewed Proceedings Digital Landscape Architecture 2014, ETH Zurich, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Wichmann Verlag Offenbach Berlin, May 2014“.

Main Theme and Suggested Topics:
The DLA Program Committee cordially invites you to submit proposals for original, unpublished presentations focusing on the conference’s main theme
“Landscape Architecture and Planning: Developing Digital Methods in GeoDesign”
in one of the other following areas:

Important dates for the review process are:

DLA Poster Competition:

We are looking for projects which challenge the application of state of the art technologies in order to advance the discipline of landscape architecture and planning. If you are looking for an international platform to showcase and discuss your work, you are welcome to submit your poster with your best project!
Requirements:
• You are a landscape architecture/planning student, a recent graduate of a landscape architecture/planning program, PhD candidate or a young researcher.
• Present the result process in A0 size (portrait) and include all information: source(s) of data; details of your team and name of software program(s).
Participants with the 5 best posters are invited to give a short presentation before an audience of peers and specialists on the 23rd of May 2014 at ETH Zurich, Switzerland during the DLA 2014 conference.
Registration fee: 120 CHF for the whole conference or 60 CHF for a 1 day entry for contributors of all accepted poster submissions.
