The thesis deals with possibilities of creating mixed-use neighbourhoods in the agglomeration of Zurich, to achieve a long-term sustainable development of these areas. For this, two sites in the Furttal region are examined and combined with a regional development strategy for the Furttal: Buchs-Dällikon as well as Regensdorf. Although the basic approach is similar, the densification strategies for these two areas differ substantially, both in terms of their typological logic as well as how the public and green space is dealt with. The master thesis was part of the research focus “Urban Made” at the chair.
