Our observations of the region of French MetroBasel and study of the techniques and potentials of aquaculture have given us a firm foundation for the proposal to introduce aquaculture into this region. Aqua-cultural landscapes proposed below would allow MetroBasel to supply 80% of its fish demand locally. In addition, fish farming would also serve as an urban catalyst and the promoter of sustainable sity growth.
